This question is generic anyway. My maint manual asks for a "Tech 1 Scan Tool". An interline search gives a lot of scanners but no "Tech 1", I am thinking about an INNOVA 3160B and wonder if it is equivalent. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Logan Posted November 10, 2012 Report Share Posted November 10, 2012 A GM Tech1 or Tech1a would be the older, obsolete version of GM scan tool. GM software support pretty much ended after '97. The GM Tech 2 would be considered the current version.
