Looking for a few answers-Please help.

1. What happens if you unplug the vacumm pump? Will it cause a service light to come on?

2. How do you reset service engine light?

Any help would be great.

Why do you want to unplug the vacuum pump? It is there to provide additional vacuum to supplement the engine vacuum for such things as the power brake booster and climate controls.

Simultaneously press and hold the OFF and WARMER buttons on the climate control panel. The system will go into a segment check and then display the trouble codes. Write them down and post back. When the system displays .7.0, it is awaiting further input.

It's been a long time since I worked on a 4100 but I think you press and hold the OFF and one of the buttons (RANGE??) on the fuel data panel to clear the codes.

The pump makes a Really loud noise. I ordered a new one but it is a few days out.

I will check the codes and post.

ok- the codes are-E44 and E47, then it shows E.E.

When do I try and clear the codes? When it shows .7.0

Hey there...

E44:Oxygen (O2) sensor lean

E47:Body Control Module (BCM) to Electronic Control Module (ECM) data fault

As for the E.E and E. prefixes:

.E. means the codes are stored in the history of the ECM.

E.E. are the current codes.

To erase the ECM codes, simultaneously press the OFF and HI buttons until E.0.0 is displayed.

As for the BCM codes, press OFF and LO until F.0.0 is displayed.
