Vibrating Transmission Noise at Lower RPM's

Recommended Posts

I bought a new 2010 SRX in August 2010. It now has 15,000 miles. I lived with this problem for the first year but it is now getting to the point of real irritation as well as an embarrassment with other passengers in the car. I drive mostly in areas with 30 to 45 mph speed limits. When I am in high gear at lower speeds every time you touch the accelerator there is a loud vibrating sound. To me it sounds something like a loose piece of metal or large plastic panel vibrating against some part of the car. This happens at several different shift points. Above 60mph I do not seem to have any problems. I am in the process of getting in to see the dealer but wondered if anyone has had this problem.

Thanks,

Bob

Have not heard this but as you note, I would get it back to the dealer asap.

Please let us know what they find
