caddygirl82 Posted July 31, 2011 Report Share Posted July 31, 2011 Hi, I am new to this site and need some advise. I have a 95 Deville with a 4.9L Vin B and 4T60E trans with vacuum modulator. I was pulling out of a parking lot the other day on wet roads and my wheel spun a little and I heard a squeal (not the tires) and all of a sudden the tranny is not shifting right. It shudders a little on take off. and there is a loud whining noise coming from the trans. The noise is louder in park and neutral. It is acting like it is only partially engaging the gears. It goes into gear in all shifter positions. But, just feels weak. The only codes I could pull on the dashboard readout are po41, io39, to37. Is there any chance this can be fixed without replacing the trans? Also there was no warning before this happened. Shift solenoid? tcc solenoid? pwc solenoid? Any input would be greatly appreciated. When its in neutral or park when you rev the engine does the car seem to lunge forward and there is a loud metallic noise? See if you can find a tranny in the scrap yard, it was used until 95.
