jawcaddy Posted July 13, 2011 Report Share Posted July 13, 2011 When I started my car yesterday and put it in reverse immediately it started check ABS and Check Power steering. THe brake light and abs light were on. When I tried to turn the wheel it felt very stiff. I have a car doc and I hooked it up. It read a code C0281 (Dynamic rear proportiong performance DRP - brake switch)and a code C0550 (ECU Malfunction). WHen I turned it on later that day it was no longer flashing those warnings and the abs and brake light were off. What could have caused this? Also I hooked my car doc back up and it was still reading the same codes. Any suggestions on what this could be? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
cdgrinci Posted July 14, 2011 Report Share Posted July 14, 2011 Total WAG; perhaps the electronics were still initializing when you put it into gear (and confused the computer); after the restart everything rebooted and it performed as designed.
