Bruce Nunnally Posted August 13, 2010 Report Share Posted August 13, 2010 Art deco became a prominent style of the era, and the prime example in the exhibition is the 1934 LaSalle Model 350 Convertible Coupe, which Kendall calls the most art deco car ever made. It’s joined with a black-and-red Hattie Carnegie dress from 1939. One mannequin is seated on the LaSalle’s trunk, which was one of the last of the era of removable automobile trunks.
