This 1949 Cadillac was built for the open road

For a little post-war luxury drive, nothing could beat a 1949 Cadillac Fleetwood. In fact, the best view is from the back seat.

"This car was built for highway driving," says owner Jim Seal of Santa Monica, Calf. It had among the first overhead-value engines, making it extra smooth and powerful for the era. For years, it was chauffeur driven -- hence the plush back seat. The owner back then, he explained, was a little ol' lady in New York, but we're not sure if her name was Miss Daisy.
