bigbissbi Posted April 26, 2010 Report Share Posted April 26, 2010 I just replaced my trans in 1998 STS. the pan was full of metal and 4th gear was out. After I installed it the anti lock and traction controll lights were on. the car seems to start in 2nd gear as well. all other functions are good with the trans. It has p 1571 code in it. Texas Jim Posted April 26, 2010 Report Share Posted April 26, 2010 DTC P1571....Traction Control Torque Request Circuit Check the connections at the wheel sensors and at the EBTCM..."REAL GOOD" There is a good possibility that something is partially unplugged / loose. Double check the wire harness and connectors at the PCM and the EBTCM. the car seems to start in 2nd gear as well. That is normal with certain fault codes.
