Bruce Nunnally
Autoweek is reporting http://www.autoweek.com/cat_content.mv?por...t_code=06225353 that the 2005 base model CTS will be slightly less expensive, and will carry a 2.8L version of the 3.6L VVT V6, at 210 hp. The 3.2L engine is now retired. The 3.6L engine will still be available, and one would expect standard on the sports or sports lux versions. 80% of buyers in 2004 opted for the 3.6L engine. Cadillac wants the CTS to compete in the just under $30K range as well as its current market.
