As I slip into the latest Cadillac test vehicle, I am struck by the realization that I no longer fit its target demographic.

It's not that I've gotten much older; it's that this particular Cadillac -the CTS Wagon--has gotten a lot younger. This is not your grandpa's Cadillac.

It's young. It's fresh. It performs. And it's downright lovely.

There was a time when "station wagons" were a popular vehicle -capable of hauling a lot of stuff inside, out of the weather. Over the last few years, though, the wagon has been making a comeback. It can carry as much cargo as all but the largest SUV. It's low, sleek and full of comfort features. It's the utility vehicle for people who do not feel the need to look down on vehicles around them.
