woody
Hello All, Got a new battery a few months ago. Today started the car in bad snow and slush and for a few seconds the battery light came on. Should I be worried? I plan on checking the positive connection at home tonight. Could this be leading to alternator problems? Any help as always is appreciated. Woody
adallak
Positive ends of battery cables are known to corrode UNDER the plastic insulation. Check it out, clean the contacts, battery terminals, tighten everything up. Take the car to Advance Autoparts. They can check your charging system for free right on the car and give you a printed report. The battery light would not come up without a reason.
