Bruce Nunnally
http://www.aurorasentinel.com/articles/200...42894992438.txt Negative review about Cadillacs -- author is not a fan -- but fairly positive about the SRX. Author does appear to 'get' that the SRX is tuned for its target audience, who are all about utility and not racing the SRX. First and foremost, don’t expect a bigger, badder engine to blow your hairpiece away. Stepping down from the last generation’s V8, Cadillac offers the SRX in two sizes only: a 3.0-liter naturally aspirated V6, or a 2.8-liter turbocharged V6. The former engine option offers a modest 265-horsepower rating, and the turbocharger bumps that rating up to 300 horsepower. It’s a sacrifice of 20 horsepower over last year’s high-end model, but it’s worth the 2-mpg to 3-mpg boost — something Cadillac hasn’t catered toward ... ever. Meaning, while the SRX gallops just fine when you put the spurs to it, there’s really no urgency in acceleration — which in a mid-sized family hauler, is probably a good thing when the dollar plummets and it takes a mortgage to fill up a tank of gas.
