I am wondering if you put a set of injectors that are bigger delivery (for example 25 in place of 19) would they be normal on mileage if you don't floor it? Bruce Nunnally Posted July 1, 2004 Report Share Posted July 1, 2004 Going to a larger injector size without otherwise changing the need for fuel would likely result in lower fuel economy and the engine running rich. Yes, the computer can vary the injector pulse to some degree, but 19 lbs to 25 lb injector is a leap, and would be much more injector than is needed. The 19 lb injectors are not stressed by the 4.9L.
