Cadillac CTS — In 2000, Cadillac's target audience was nearing 70 — not a good idea if you want to remain relevant in 10 years. The answer was a sharp-edged sedan with bold looks and rear-drive to take on BMW and Mercedes. The Germans probably brushed off the challenge with a smirk. The new Caddy, however, proved that the General could still build a fresh luxury car — and even lure in buyers decades younger than septuagenarians.
