If that sounds a lot like the introductory disclaimer from the popular Discovery Channel show MythBusters, it's no coincidence. It's also good advice. One popular myth involves the notion that plugging a car's exhaust pipe will result in a spectacularly loud bang upon start-up. Other versions of the story suggest it would cause the unfortunate victim's engine to explode -- and this is actually the myth addressed by the hosts on MythBusters.
