Bruce Nunnally Posted November 22, 2009 Report Share Posted November 22, 2009 Vt. man runs over deer, gets hit by two cars By Associated Press November 22, 2009 CONCORD, N.H. — A man who ran over a large deer while driving on a New Hampshire highway was struck by two cars and seriously injured while he was trying to warn oncoming traffic that his car was blocking the road, New Hampshire state police said. Troopers say 60-year-old Timotheus Phol, of Hartland, Vt., struck a deer on Interstate 89 yesterday. Both headlights on his car were destroyed, and the vehicle became disabled facing south in the northbound lanes. Police say they believe Phol got out of his car to warn oncoming traffic and was struck by cars driven by 26-year-old James McKeon Jr. of Saco, Maine, and 21-year-old Nicole Cormier, of North Reading, Mass.
