Logan Posted June 23, 2004 Report Share Posted June 23, 2004 The door lock actuators are know for flubbing like this. The door actuators ARE the lock solenoids are lock built into one. I think, by chance, or you did not notice one, now they have both failed. To replace. You do have to remove the door panel. The part you are replacing is the part that actually holds the door shut.....yeah...way back there.... Your best bet would be some complete new door lock assemblies. Yeah, you can buy just the actuators.... The labor is more to change the actuators alone. The lock assembly must come out anyways. In the long run its cheaper to replace the complete assemebly.
