balsantana
I've noticed my car doesn't have the same pick-up as in the past and I've noticed twice -- a noise when I shift gears from reverse to drive. Someone said I should have the transmission serviced. I have never had this done...other than transmission oil and filter. Is it recommended? If I go to Aamco, do I request an inspection? What preventive service can I have done -- a complete disassembly of the transmission? 1992 Cadillac Seville - 104K My mechanic is in the hospital. Thank you. PAUL T
Check the diagnostic codes by pressing the "off" and "warmer" buttons on the climate control, watch the codes flash in the message center. Write them down and list them, the codes will tell if your tranny needs anything. Otherwise I would just check the fluid level and color, then maybe a fluid drain and filter change.
