cadillac97sev
I was driving my 1997 Cadillac Seville and all of a sudden in turned off and a message pops up saying 'Service Fuel System'. I tried to turn on the card after that and it sounds like its turning on but it doesn't. I changed the fuel pump 1.5yrs ago so I doubt that is the issue. What can I do? Also the fuel pump fuse is good but I am not sure how I can check if the fuel pump relay fuse is fine. Any ideas? I don't have money to take to a mechanic. Any help is appreciated. Thank you. MrEldo97
Your message is not clear. Does the car run? Does it run smoothly? Does it start? Does it start easily or with difficulty?
winterset
swap the AC relay with the fuel pump relay. on my '96 deville, they are in the drivers side fuse panel under the hood. I recently swapped the two, and when I put a bad relay in for the fuel pump, the car stalled, and I got the 'SERVICE FUEL SYSTEM' message you are getting.
