MAC
OK, I want to move up to an STS. I found a 2003 with a fabric roof but I'm reluctant to give it serious thought because here in New Jersey with all the salt and cold weather I'm thinking it may not last long. Does anyone have experience with the fabric roof and do you like it. How would I prevent a fabric roof from deteriorating.
BodybyFisher
I have a shop nearby called Smithtown Auto Trim, they do trim and detail work for the local cadillac dealer and custom interiors. They are detail NUTS. They recommended this and I LOVE IT: RAGGTOPP Fabric Protectant by Wolfstein, I use it twice a year, water rolls OFF it after I use it, and it does NOT soak into the cloth http://www.wolfsteins.com/products.htm#fabric Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm

Since the fabric can be preserved, I'll put the 2003 STS on my list for serious consideration. I'm also looking at a dark blue metallic 2002 STS just like Jan Olsson's. And I also saw a dark green metallic that looks very sharp. It's time to buy a more practical 4-door and move up to a newer Cadillac.

Mike I'm going to sell it. First I'll do some work on it just to make sure it's in good condition, including fix the creek in the front suspension which I believe is the sway bar bushing and I also need to find out what is going on with the Control Arm rod bushings. I am interested, I know you take care of it, PM me your idea regarding selling price, work done, and work needed. I want to get rid of this boat, we both have 120K+ miles. I think I have an immediate buyer for my car, I need to clean it up good first Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm
