snonbunny1229
I have a 95 cadillac Deville. Everytime you press the brakes the car stalls. It doesn't matter what gear you are in. It can idle for 20 min just fine, press the brake, the check engine light flashes and it stalls. The car has these new parts: transmission, plugs and wires, rotor, distributor cap, ignition module, coil packs, starter, coolant system lines, water pump, serpintine belt. Um I think thats it. But the mechanic i have taken my car to has no idea what the problem is. They gave me back my car today after three weeks of investigating and it still does it. They have checked and say that it is not... The torque convertor module, the brake booster, the vacuum module, they cleaned my ground wires, cleaned my fuel injectors. Um I think that's it... any help would be greatly appreciated. This is my only vehicle and i need help... Thank you so much
BodybyFisher
You have an ISC motor, next time you turn your engine off quickly lift your hood and see if you hear any clicking. There is a pressure switch inside the ISC, the closed throttle switch that can become corroded and create the problem you are having. However, it could just be that it is out of adjustment or not connected with all of that work. You need to retrieve your DTC Codes. Go to the top of this page and click HOW TO, then DTC CODES, follow the directions on how to retrieve your DTC codes and post them here, Mike Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm

The mechanic also looked into the isc motor and said that's not it. They also tried the distributor and said thats not it.
