Delta
Hello all again. Thinking about changing the plugs and wires in my 96 SLS. Looking at the engine, the plugs closest to the firewall appear to be a major pain to get at. Is there a trick to this so it doesnt become a pain, what do you have to remove etc, and what kind of plug and wires would you recommend? I dont know how old the plugs/wires are, but they look old, 103,000 on the car. Thanks in advance!!!!
PAUL T
Only use Cadillac OEM plugs & wires. People have problems by using anything other than OEM. As far as the back plugs, I changed the ones on my 94 Concours and it was not as bad as it looked. I never took anything off and I remember using a 3/8" ratchet, extensions, and swivels. Keep the bandaids handy for the battle scars.
Ranger
Remove the strut tower brace and the ICM (there is a hidden bolt in the back that requires the braille method. After that it's a piece of cake. As mentioned, A/C Delco parts. http://www.rockauto.com
