kiloz Posted November 13, 2008 Report Share Posted November 13, 2008 Hi im new here and i got this problem with my 1997 cadillac deville the car cranks like trying to start but it dont, it seems like is not injecting fuel and another thing it used to ring litle bells sounds when i open the door or before i turn the switch to on i used to hear that but not anymore, please if someone know whats the problem or how to guide me through it let me know... lothos Posted November 14, 2008 Report Share Posted November 14, 2008 Check the electrical connections for the battery and the grounds, too. The positive cable should come apart in a couple sections, one goes to the starter... clean inside them real good. Peel the red rubber off and clean under it. Follow the grounds from the negative battery terminal and clean those. clean them until they shine, you can use baking soda on the corrosion, I used electrical contact cleaner on mine.
