Bruce Nunnally
Financial Post In 1978, while checking out the inventory at Hugh McColl's Southpark Motors, a Coupe deVille caught Sikora's eye. "I've had it ever since," said Sikora, 78, a retired contract propane hauler. At first, it was driven annually to Spokane to meet a group of friends for a week of golfing. Later, the yearly excursion became a winter trip to Arizona with a friend, which continued until 10 years ago. This amazing automobile is virtually in the same state as it was when it left the dealer's lot. "It hasn't been touched," said Sikora, who says the car has run virtually trouble-free in its 144,000 kilometres of leisurely travel. The battery has been replaced three times, and only now is the second set of tires in need of being retired.
