98deville Posted October 28, 2008 Report Share Posted October 28, 2008 My power window, and power lock stopped working on the left rear door of my car (2003 Dts) that door has to be locked and unlocked manually. I also get a left rear door open message on the DIC even though the door is fully closed ...could it be a fuse somewhere or maybe a wire disconnected somewhere...... Bruce Nunnally Posted October 28, 2008 Report Share Posted October 28, 2008 The door latch inside the rear door has electrical connections to detect if the latch is closed or not. Based on how the other items have lost electrical perhaps the wiring leading into the door is crimped or broken? #2 in the attached photo showing the latch mechanism inside the rear door on the Deville is the latch connector.
