They are taking the product from this new source that comes the closest to the PF35L specs and labeling it as a PF35L. Caveat emptor. GM does NOT buy standard filters and put their label on it. When a filter is manufactured outside of GM it is to GM's design, not the filter manufacturer's off the shelf item. Changes to a product often occur in development - the new designs are tested/validated before they are released to mass production.
