hey guys i just bought a 98 sts and lucky for me i found it with only 70000 miles on it but anyway i wanted to know how i can get hid lighting for the headlights, i know it has projectors already stocked but is it as easy as just buying a bulb to my taste of color or do i have to do anything else to get the nice white bluish color that we would normally see on a bmw and on newer cadi's. and if it just takes a bulb what kind of bulb would i need thx again guys

It's not as easy as replacing the bulb.

You need the wire harness and ballast (transformer) pieces from a Seville year that offered HID as an OEM option. Pricey.

Or you can buy a kit from from some unknown source on eBay and take your chances on being able to buy replacement parts next year. Pricey.

Before you decide to retrofit HID lamps into headlights designed for incandescent bulbs please read:

You could try buying some Eurodezigns bulbs. They give off a brighter, whiter, bluish tint and seem to last. I used them in my old Expedition and my 94 Deville with no problems. They are not as bright and vibrant as true HID's but they only cost about $15-$20 bucks on Ebay and there is no modification involved because they are the same type of bulb as stock.
