Caddynut
Well, I just put the 92 Seville on my insurance to drive during the winter and took the 2001 STS off the road. I knew I needed new front brakes, but my collector on the front of the Cat converter was leaking and it completely broke off in the rear. This car has seen better days and I don't want to spend hardly anything to fix it. I found a universal catalytic converter on ebay. I am perfectly capable of cutting and welding...no problem. Would this work and not cause problems with the computer? Thanks for the advice. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...em=310063659173 2008 BMW 328xi 2007 Chrysler Aspen 2001 Cadillac Seville STS 2000 Ford Ranger XLT1998 Mitsubishi Spyder Convertible 1996 Saturn SC-11991 Ford F-1501979 Chevrolet Caprice1968 Ford LTD1965 VW Beetle "Herbie The Love Bug Replica** 1961 VW Beetle
Bruce Nunnally
You will want to get one that has the same size in/out pipes and roughly the same size as the one in your 92 now. This will require that you carefully climb under there with a measuring tape, since the difference between 2", 2 & 1/4", and 2 & 1/2" diameter is fairly subtle. On the bright side, it is easier to measure if the current pipe is broken off.
