Well, Exhaust finally went...what to do CHEAP?

Well, I just put the 92 Seville on my insurance to drive during the winter and took the 2001 STS off the road. I knew I needed new front brakes, but my collector on the front of the Cat converter was leaking and it completely broke off in the rear. This car has seen better days and I don't want to spend hardly anything to fix it. I found a universal catalytic converter on ebay. I am perfectly capable of cutting and welding...no problem. Would this work and not cause problems with the computer? Thanks for the advice.

You will want to get one that has the same size in/out pipes and roughly the same size as the one in your 92 now. This will require that you carefully climb under there with a measuring tape, since the difference between 2", 2 & 1/4", and 2 & 1/2" diameter is fairly subtle. On the bright side, it is easier to measure if the current pipe is broken off.
