STS Scott
Since just before my last oil change, my STS has been ginving false "Check Oil Level" messages in the DIC. I'll admit I drove a few days past the "0 % oil life", but that wouldn't screw up the oil diagnostics, would it? Could I just be a bad oil level sensor? Thanks for any feed back! Greg P.
Check that the wire on the oil level sensor is securely attached. Sometimes they get bumped off when someone is working under the car. It happened to me on my 95 STS.

KHE
Where is the oil level sensor located? It screws into the oil pan. Kevin '93 Fleetwood Brougham '05 Deville '04 Deville 2013 Silverado Z71
Cadillac STS
you should change your oil at the 10 % mark...
growe3
It screws in at the right front corner of the oil pan. The connection is a locking tab and normally can't get loose accidently. The wire of course could have been damaged, possibly by a floor jack, if the wires were not in their proper holders. -George Drive'em like you own 'em. - ....................04 DTS............................
