Rear Suspension lift motor

Recommended Posts

Hi All!

Where is the pump located that controls the ride height in the rear suspension on a 96 STS, mine stopped working and looks like a low rider from the hood! Thanks in advance for any help

You should read the OBD trouble codes before you tear into it. Most ride control problems are electrical, or are caused by leaks in the system. Yours sounds like it might be a loose connector or a fuse. Here's how to read the codes:

Write them down and post them here. They will be in this format:

PZM C0657 Level Control Compressor Circuit Low History

The History flag will read Current for faults that are active when the codes are checked. The History codes are the car's computer "taking notes" on what it sees while you are driving. History codes stay for about three months, typically, before the computer erases them. We need them all.
