Babydon Posted May 6, 2008 Report Share Posted May 6, 2008 My fuel gauge isn't responding at all. I don't think my temp gauge is either. The info display only shows ave km/hr, timer and bettery volts ok. Everything else doesn't display. i.e. tire pressure, L of fuel used, temp outside etc... The digital speedometer is fine. Got a bettery, airbag and ABS light on... Someone suggested the battery light may be an indication of a bad alternator. The battery voltage says "ok"... Now is this a "take it to the dealer" situation? I mean the problem seems all electrical so I don't think any garage will do. Also, if I need a new alternator, any particular one i should buy for my 01 STS? Thanks everyone... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
winterset Posted May 6, 2008 Report Share Posted May 6, 2008 Check your fuse/relay centers and ECM/PCM etc. centers for corrosion on the connectors. - both under the hood, and in the back eat. - also the trunk leak / water issue may have accelerated some kind of short in the trunk.
