MAC
The trunk pull-down motor keeps cycling up and down when trunk is open. When it goes down it will click when it hits a black tab which looks to be a switch that should cause the motor to stop, but it's not working. Is there a fix or is it time to replace it? My first guess is a bad upper latch switch - it is mounted on the deck lid. A relatively inexpensive part. Unplug the switch and check the switch for continuity when the switch is closed and infinite resistance when the switch is open. You'll need to cycle the switch with your finger while looking at the meter.
