Caddynut
This is a stupid question, but I cannot find the low side port for the air conditioning on my 2001 Seville. I plainly see the high side by the passenger fender, but cannot find the low side port. Ranger
Low side should be close to the accumulator if I recall correctly.
MAC
Yes, it should be by the accumulator. The line where the low side will have a larger diameter than the high side.
Caddynut
thanks, I guess I didn't look far enough down the low side line. I will check this weekend since my A/C seems to get warm when I sit at a stop light. 2008 BMW 328xi 2007 Chrysler Aspen 2001 Cadillac Seville STS 2000 Ford Ranger XLT1998 Mitsubishi Spyder Convertible 1996 Saturn SC-11991 Ford F-1501979 Chevrolet Caprice1968 Ford LTD1965 VW Beetle "Herbie The Love Bug Replica** 1961 VW Beetle
Astrak
On my 98 Seville it's like 6 inches away from the highside port. It's closer to the firewall than the highside port, it is the only one that a recharge kit or any valve you can buy from an autoparts store will fit onto. 95SevilleSLS
Mine seemed to get a little warm when I idle also. I just figure it's normal because all my other vehicles do it as well. -Dusty- - 02 Seville STS, white diamond - 93 Sixty Special, Tan with vinyl top - 79 Coupe DeVille, Tan with Tan top - 06 GMC Sierra Z71, Black - 92 Silverado C1500, black and grey - 83 Chevy K10 Silverado, Black and Grey
Ranger
I will check this weekend since my A/C seems to get warm when I sit at a stop light. Mine seemed to get a little warm when I idle also. I just figure it's normal because all my other vehicles do it as well. Mine did that as well. I had it in to the dealer last week for a slight brake pulsation and I mentioned it and told them to check it out as it is still under warranty. Got it back with a new compressor. They claim it had a leak when dye checked. Kind of surprised me as I checked the pressures before taking it in and they where up to specs and the center duct temperature was 59 degrees at idle on a 90 degree day. I really expected them to say it was normal. Glad I mentioned it now.
