Plastic shelving in the shower

The bottom of the can rusts out despite it is covered with paint no matter wher you put it. How a plastic shelving is going to help?

I have plastic shelves and I still get rust marks. <_< Scary thing is I looked at the rust marks JUST this morning and wondered why in the hell can't they put a rubber or plastic ring on the bottom of these darn cans!!

They paint it, but the paint is so thin that the can eventualy rusts thru. Just put it up side down and forget it. :D
