Anyone Mounted a Garmin in an Eldorado?

Recommended Posts

Anyone have any experience with the Garmin 350 or 360? I'm concerned about how to mount it, temporarily or permanently, in my Eldorado (dash should be identical to 1992-1997 Seville, particularly STS). I'm not sure that windshield suction-cup mounting is legal in NJ and in any case I don't like anything that obstructs my vision, so what's left is the top of the dash (padded vinyl, pops up if the passenger air bag deploys), the Zebrano trim  or the -- very busy -- console with its DIC buttons, radio, and HVAC controls. Or, has anyone mounted a Garmin or other GPS nav system on the steering column?

The difference between the Garmin 350 and 360 is Bluetooth. If anyone has experience using using the Garmin 360 with a cell phone and Bluetooth, please let me know if this is workable (audible? voice operation?) for taking or making calls on the road.
