bschelle
I just got a 91 Eldo with 96000 miles on it. There is a rattle in the left front when I hit a bump. I had it on a hoist with the pressure off of the suspension and everything seems to be tight i.e. struts, bushings, stab.bar, took the wheel off and the caliper is not loose. Any suggestions as to what to look for?
Scotty
I can almost say with certainty that it is one of two things 1) the stabilizer link, or 2) the stabilizer bar bushings. While it could also be your lower ball joint, I would check those two items first. I had the bump induced noise, and replaced the lower ball joints, checked my links, and replaced my hubs and the noise stayed until I replaced the stabilizer bar bushings, good luck, Mike
sammi
I agree with scotty. I don't know if the 91 eldo is similar to the 95 seville but I replaced the bushings even though my mechanic said they were good. It solved the problem.
bschelle
Sounds like a plan to me. I should have the manual early next week and I will replace them then. Thanks for the info!
Scotty
By the way the work I discussed above was on a 91 Seville, Mike
