boricua3131
What's up guys? Well, it's brake changing time, and I am going replace rotors and pads. Rear rotors were easy to find....found some Brembo's at a discount from a buddy at Auto Zone. Problem is....the front are like nowhere to be found. Anyone have this problem with the 03-04 Seville? Will this have to be a special order or dealer item? What is a J55 brake system.....I see the computer asks for "w/ or w/out " ?
MAC
rockauto.com sells front rotors. ACDelco 84.79 each, and Raybestos $70.79 each, plus shipping.
JimD
[attachmentid=3167] The J55 brake option is "supposed to be" for performance rear wheel drive machines. No telling how it got in a parts lisitng for a front wheel drive Seville. Jim Drive your car. Use your cell phone. CHOOSE ONE !
JasonA
The J55 brakes are the heavy duty (6 lug) brakes on the commercial chassis. J55 DeVille rotors: http://www.coximport.com/PSL-8692DSR (notice the other cross applications in the list) Non-J55 DeVille rotors: http://www.coximport.com/PSL-8664DSL No Seville got the J55 option. Boricua3131, you don't have the J55 brake option. Jason(2001 STS, White Diamond) "When you turn your car on...does it return the favor?"
speedyman_2
I'm assuming he someone brought up an STS instead of a Seville. That would then show the J55 because of the STS-V, would it not?

Generically, maybe, but not for the 2003-2004 model year. The RWD STS didn't come out until 2005. And, if I'm not mistaken, there was actually NO 2004 STSes is that correct? Only SLSes in 2004. JimD
There were '04 STS models built but they were not sold as new in the US. Most if not all of them were shipped across the Detroit River.
