just bought a 96 seville sts with 4 wheel disk brakes my problem is that it does not stop as good as my 98 sable 4 wheel disk wagon. I did check the pads they look all good but think that the rotors need cut or replaceing since they dont look that great. any ideas

I dunno how heavy a Sable Wagon is, but your STS is one heavy-weight sucker... When you say it doesn not stop well, do you mean a long stopping distance, or that you need extreme braking effort, or you have a spongy pedal? If the hydraulics are fine, maybe your rotors and pads are glazed, and a thorough sanding might help a lot. Of course a new set of pads and cutting the rotors would do the same...

Have the system bled front and rear, air in the system will cause poor braking.

If your rotors look glazed (blue and black) you may indeed need to have them turned, but if silvery and just rough that's fine.
