manowar77
Hi, im gonna change the coolant soon on my STS 95 with the Northstar engine, and i wonder if i must add sealent pellets to the coolant when im changing it? Where do i place these pellets and how many do i have to use? According to the Haynes Repair manual you can use regular green glycol on a 95 model, but you must add these sealant pellets also! Ranger
Use 3 - 4 tabs and place them in the radiator hose, NOT the surge tank. '96 is when GM started using Dex-Cool. Pre '96 uses green.

Ranger
They will desolve pretty quickly when they get wet, but cruching them won't hurt. I never do.
