No use reinventing the wheel. Want the 472 want to chrome the motor up and make it fairly fast for a car this side. We drive it once a week in the summer. The 67 Cadillac had the 429 and the 68 had the 472 with virtually the same body style. I think they both used the TH400 tranny.
