replacing 429 ci in 67 conv with 472ci

anyone done this I noticed a couple of you guys have done it. If anyone knows what it takes please let me know. No use reinventing the wheel. Want the 472 want to chrome the motor up and make it fairly fast for a car this side. We drive it once a week in the summer. TIA (thanks in advance) mose

I have owned a 330, 390, 429, 472 and 500 cu in Cadillacs in my lifetime, but I could not help you with that question. The 67 Cadillac had the 429 and the 68 had the 472 with virtually the same body style. I think they both used the TH400 tranny. Check this board if you have not already, it covers the 500, 472, 425 and 368, but not the 429 from what I can see, but its possible that someone there has the knowledge you need:
