JOHNNYDEVILLE
HELP?????I HAVE A 97 CADILLAC DEVILLE. ENGINE COOLANT LOW MESSAGE ON DISPLAY. I FILL IT UP AND THE SAME DAY, THE MESSAGE COMES BACK. I GOT AN OIL CHANGE AND TUNE UP THE SAME DAY. TODAY I GOT THE SAME MESSAGE AND THE CAR OVERHEATED, WHEN IT DID I GOT THE CHANGE OIL DISPLAY, AND IT SPIT A VERY LITTLE AMOUNT OF ANTIFREEZE. BUT I DONT SEE WHERE ITS LEAKING. COULD IT BE THE RESEVIOR, WATER PUMP, OR LINES.
Ranger
Could be anything. If it leaks enough to trip the light in one day it must be a bad leak and should be easy to spot. Dex-Cool will leave a white telltale residue. Check the radiator side tanks and surge tank hose nipples. Both are known to leak.

KHE
You need to replace the surge tank - it is under pressure and there really isn't a good way to patch it up. JimD
Sounds like your engine overheated to the point of cooking. Be sure to change the oil and filter as soon as possible if not sooner. CADILLAC Nah - replacing the surge tank is relatively easy - It shouldn't take more than an hour.
