bad noise at the drive

bandit

Recommended Posts

Hi gents,

I got a really problem with a bad noise on the right side forward. It sounds like a defect wheel bearing. But, I changed it to a new one. Next changing was twice the driveshaft. No improvement! Next step: checked all mechanical parts at the forward location with a special sound recorder. No way to find out, where's the noise created.

This bad sound comes even in a left turn or when pressure comes on the right side of the front.

Does everybody knows, what's the matter of this crazy default?

Thanks for help me.

Best regards from Switzerland and everytime full speed

Martin

I assume this noise occurs when the car is moving? So you have changed the axle (driveshaft) and the hub bearing. Any other parts that were bad would have been seen during those jobs. The AXLE SUPPORT BUSHING could be defective. Do you still have the original axle to inspect? See Logan's post here:

This information is under NOISE for the tranny

Hi to everyone.

Well, I found the problem of this "bad noise sounds like the broken right bearing": It was the left one!!! So, for every diagnostic for one side sound --->> check anyway also the other side!!

Thanks for help.
