BarbCT
I've just been through your website (it's great, by the way). Love the pics of your Seville. Mine is light green. Best car I've ever owned. Love it! I was lucky, almost every option was in my Seville (except the feature that turns on the wipers when it rains.) I'll post pics after I get new tires. So...new tires are needed (among other things). Liked your review of Michelin X. But the Michelin X link had an error. Questions: 1. Are these the tires at this link: Michelin X? 2. In your maintenance web page, you indicated Replace fuel pressure regulator was replaced. What were your Caddy's symptoms? (My water pump was replaced in 2003, also!) Thanks in advance. BodybyFisher
Yes that is the Michelin X, or X Radial.. Costco and BJ's sells them. I had them on my 91 Seville and currently have them on a 2002 Monte Carlo... its a good tire A bad FPR will give long cranking, roughness or stalling. When the diaphram goes bad, when you pull the vacuum hose you will see evidence of fuel present if you do, replace it. Here is a photo of its location see red circle its attached to the fuel rail... Sorry for jumping in on your question to Jason No problem...more the merrier! I had posted about roughness when starting in a previous post, where you were nice enough to tell me how to check if FPR was a problem. (Just got my Caddy back from shop, had an alternator replaced.) Thanks for your help.
