Bruce Nunnally
AP-22 evolves into AX-22 http://www.race-technology.com/ Race Technology in the UK has updated their AX-22 GPS / data capture unit to include lap and sector times. The AX-22 is a unit similar to the earlier AP-22 that I have used to measure 0-60 and quartermile times, (also similar to the current G-tech pro RR) except that it includes an embedded GPS receiver and support for a compact flash card. These features allow greater accuracy and ease of use. The GPS addition basically makes the unit accurate to 0.1 mph instead of 1 mph or so. The new model also costs around $965, which is pricey if you are not running a racing team, but inexpensive for what it does if you are. Companion software assists with lap point comparisons and analysis of data.
