Code reading question

The shop manual for your year Cadillac would have the full definitions, which change from year to year as the technologies advance, or perhaps when a new tech writer joins the team :)

You can see a list here http://caddyinfo.netgetgoing.com/dtc_2003.htm for the 2003 cars and deduce the type of area effected by each code.

I have stumbled upon some of the abbreviations while digging other information out of my Service Manual. These are the "systems" I was able to identify for a 1998 Seville

ABS (Antilock Brake System)

AMP (Amplifier)?

DDM (Door Driver Module)

DIM (Dash Integration Module)

IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster)

IPM (Instrument Panel Module)

IRC (Integrated Radio Module)

PCM (Powertrain Control Module)

RFA (Remote Function Actuation)

RIM (Rear Integration Module)

SDM (Sensing and Diagnostic Module) Inflatable Restraint?

VTD (Vehicle Theft Deterrent)

MSM (Memory Seat Module)

TTM (Tilt/Telescoping Module)

RSS (Road Sensing Suspension)
