MAC
It looks like my front engine mount needs to be replaced. I opened the hood the other day to check the mount. When I step on the break and hit the gas the engine jumps up and down in the front. When I inspected the mount underneath the engine by the radiator, I didn’t see anything obviously wrong. It must be something you can’t see by visual inspection. If anyone has any input I would appreciate it.

blunted
Did you check the rubber on your dog bones? (torque struts) If the rubber appears cracked or missing then they need to be replaced.
jackc
The front mount typically fails when the rubber tears from the lifting force of the engine (left side - front - of engine lifts under load, back side - right - presses down under load). Just looking at it, you usually can't see the problem. But once you get the mount out, the rubber is usually torn in half. The test is what you've already done. It probably is bad. Its a common problem.
