rcool217
I noticed a rather large puddle of fluid under my car today. It appears to be brake fluid. Its not oil or coolant or tranny fluid. Its clear in color with an oily consistency. I checked the brake fluid and its full. My question is, can you overfill the brake fluid and make it leak? This might sound strange but I was in a hurry to try and fix my "Service brake fluid switch code" and I had noticed the fluid looking dirty. I used a spray bottle to suck up as much fluid as I could out of the master cyclinder reservoir and then refilled to the top. I have noticed this leak twice now and it is puzzling me what it is. Ranger
I think you over filled it. Not sure if that would make it leak but there should be a full mark about 3/4 full.
