The_Raven
Howyadoin, Is there any way to keep the cigarette lighter power from shutting off when the car is parked for a while? I don't know if it follows the same timeout as retained accessory power, maybe? It's bugging me bigtime because my cell phone's plugged into the outlet, and it keeps dropping off charge. -Mark P. spr01sts
If you find an answer let me know. I travel a bit on the weekends and rely on my car chargers.
growe3
Disconnect the battery. Disconnect the wire to the cigarette lighter and leave undamaged for future reattachment. Route a new wire from a 12 volt power source, try tapping onto a maxi fuse under the plastic cover, on the left front wheel well (preferred), or just connect directly to the positive side of the battery. Use an inline fuse of the same rating as your original connection (10 amp?). Reconnect the battery. Drive'em like you own 'em. - ....................04 DTS............................
