Ranger
I did the first oil change on my daughters '99 SLS today (Picked it up in Feb. with 24K on it). Anyway, to my surprise I could not find a grease fitting. I checked the manual and it said that there should be fittings on the rear tie rods but alas, there where none. None on the front either. Boy I hate that.
JimD
Manuals can easily be incorrect (there is no FAA equivalent involved here). My '98 has two fittings on the rear and the '04 has none, zip, zero. I love it. Jim Drive your car. Use your cell phone. CHOOSE ONE !
Ranger
Prior to this car she had a '98 Taurus. No fittings and I had replaced one tie rod at about 80K. My '92 Deville had them and I never replaced one at 125K. I just can't undersatnd why they don't put a $0.05 fitting on there.
JIMDTS
Hi Ranger I hear ya I also like grease fittings. But it appears that the newer cadillacs don't have them.. Last cadillac I had that had the gease fittings was a 95.. Jim
