Cad1
I installed a voltmeter on my motorcycle and if I just have the meter on and the bike off it works great. Turn the bike on and rev-it, it trips the meter. It was designed for cig-lighter 12v power. Could it be sensitive to fluctuations, I know my wiring is good. It tripped once warm at the light. Just put it on. Had a nice SLS get awful close to me this am (for my tastes at least) doing a sling-shot lane change. 92 Deville w/210k miles
navion
Cad1, Check your voltmeter installation against a good quality volt/ohm meter. I suspect that your bike is putting out too much voltage for the range of the meter designed to be driven by plugging into a cigar lighter . Either that or the circuit that your meter is on drops off line at higher RPM or volts for some reason. Britt Britt
bobnsue2
What do you mean by it trips the meter?
Cad1
It re-sets itself, I turn it on then every once in awhile it cuts off and starts back up instantly. 92 Deville w/210k miles
